HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!! I hope you all had a safe (but FUN) night, and i hope that you are as excited as i am for the year to come…
2008 was a huge year for me. it was a year of NEW. i learned what it means to tour. i found that i am meant to tour. i found out how much work is entailed in touring. i found that i have 3 homes. i found that nothing comes close to the happiness that comes after a great show. i found that i belong everywhere. i found that i love to travel to new places. i found that i love to meet new people.
2008 was meeting amazing people. generous people. hilarious people. fun people. free people.
2008 was, really, the beginning of my life on the road.
2009 is just taking it to the next level. on july 7th, my full length album will be released. that ALONE makes 2009 a HUGE year for me. i’m really so excited for you guys to hear this album. i’m so ready for it to be heard and i can’t wait. there is MUCH to do in the months leading up to that, however. so….
here’s to looking forward! 2009, here we come!!
love you all very, very much,
hana
p.s.- 2009 is also when the next twilight movie new moon comes out!!!! add “need” for new moon to your friends and help get it heard!
i am a twilight fanatic. and i’m proud of it, despite my best friend’s constant teasing that it resides in the “tween” section at barnes and noble. i gave in to the madness a few months ago and read the first three books in less than 24 hours. mix in my highly addictive personality….not good.
i was hiking when i realized that i have a song that could be perfect for new moon, the second twilight book/movie.
hence, i have an assignment/request for you!
i need lots of help getting my song “need” into the ears of the movie’s director, producers, music production manager, as well as the author stephanie meyer’s. if you are a twilight fan, listen to the song, read the lyrics, think about what happens in new moon, and just imagine the song in the movie.
it’s going to take a bit of creative networking to make this happen.
however, my manager, jordan feldstien, also manages collective soul, who’s song “tremble for my beloved” was used at a very integral part of twilight. i have jordan working on it as well, so we’re attacking from both sides. =)
if you can, PLEASE HELP OUT!
here’s what you can do as often as you like, whenever you can:
1. listen to “Need” here:
2. add my new page “Need for New Moon” to your myspace and share our page WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS =)
3. click the links below to spread the word to twilight fan sites, the media, and your email lists!
4. keep THIS THREAD kicked in the Twilight forum.
5. keep me posted about any other ideas you have!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Twilight Links to Start “Need For New Moon” Threads:
p.s.-i realize that not all people are twilight fans, and probably some people are anti. i used to be one of you. so, i understand if you have no idea what i am talking about. thanks for reading anyway! =)
p.p.s.- check out , where i got some front page exposure! you can create a slideshow to “these two hands”!
i just got home and it feels amazing to be back in montana. i could not be more excited for thanksgiving!! i’m looking so forward to yummy food. i’m so happy to be with my family!!!
i had such a great time with ingram hill. i love those boys so much. i’ll miss them a lot.
if you haven’t seen it already, here’s a clip of me joining them for their song “on my way”…
while looking over some more tour video, i found this…
a few weeks ago, i played at the brand new “casino snoqualmie” in washington.
the security people there were really freaked out about us being under 21, so they put us in the “VIP lounge” and said we couldn’t leave without an escort.
i haven’t written a blog in a while and it’s starting to really bug me. it has been go, go, go, go, go lately. right now i’m in salt lake city and it’s so beautiful!! the trees are so gorgeous in their oranges and reds and yellows and browns. lia, my bestest friend in the world, is out on the road with me and HOLY CAMOLY we are having the best time. i love being on tour. i absolutely love it. right now i’m out with ingram hill and it’s been amazing. they are such nice guys and it’s so fun to hang out with them and their awesome fans every night. we just came from playing at a brand new fancy casino in snoqualmie, washington. it is BEAUTIFUL THERE. go there at some point in your life. you will really regret it if you don’t.
i am so psyched for thanksgiving and christmas. I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS!!!
so, lia and i took this video in the car the other day. it pretty much sums up what my life has been like for the last 4 months.
i really, really hope that you enjoy!!! pretty please comment here and tell me what you think!!
i leave for tulsa tomorrow and i could NOT be more excited to be back out on the road. joining ingram hill is going to be so much fun! i met them a few weeks ago in nashville, and, yeah. they are just as nice as they seem.
i seriously cannot thank you all enough for your support. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
you guys are amazing.

the end of a fantastic tour… the beginning of another.
wow. we’ve got quite the drive ahead of us. we left lowell, massachusetts last night at about 1:30AM, and haven’t stopped driving yet. we’re heading back to Denver, where the Collective Soul, Blues Traveler, and LIVE tour started on july 4th. man….that night feels like YEARS AGO!! i had the TIME of my LIFE with the L/CS/BT guys. i’ve never felt more at home. i felt like i was on tour with about 50 “brothers-i-never-had,” if that makes sense. =) it was sad leaving everybody last night, but i know i’ll see them all soon, so it was more of a “see you later” than a “goodbye forever”.

whoa. look at all those dates. i am so, so, so incredibly thrilled. the greek theatre? the fillmore? the sunset blvd house of blues? it’s unreal. i saw both radiohead and incubus at the greek theatre…i cannot believe that i’m going to be standing on that same stage.
i’ve had the most amazing time, in the last three weeks. traveling around, playing to a new crowd every night, is more fun than i could have ever imagined. it just feels like i’m doing exactly what i’m supposed to be doing.
the corey smith crew really made me feel at home. they are such great, sweet, and down-to-earth people. i found some lifelong friends in those guys. sam thacker, the second opener for corey, is AMAZING. check him out at myspace.com/samthacker. he’s even more amazing live.
now, i’m sitting at home, loving it. there is nothing like the house you grew up in. my room here is my haven. the moment i walk through the door, i’m inspired. i love my neighborhood in the summer. it’s so quiet and warm and breezy. i forgot how much i missed crickets at night. for those of you who haven’t been to montana, come here at some point in your life. it’s really an experience. i really love it here. it’s awesome to be here with my mom, dad, sister, and doggy. =)
so, i’m going to be on Y-93 tomorrow morning, and maybe planet 107.9 (they’re both billings radio stations)!! i’m so excited! i’m going to stop by for an interview and i’m going to play a song…either just a phase or these two hands.
then, tomorrow night, i’m back at my old “stomping grounds”…the yellowstone valley brewing co.! i am so excited to be playing a show here in billings. there’s nothing like playing to your home town!! after that, i’m heading back to la. i’ve got some stuff to take care of before i go out with COLLECTIVE SOUL, LIVE, AND BLUES TRAVELER!!! i’m going crazy i’m so excited. i can’t even sit still. i feel like i’m in a dream world. it’s going to be incredible.
i’m going for a jog now. leave me a comment and let me know how your summers have been so far!!!
thank you so much for all of your support. you guys are amazing.
