i had an awwwwwwwwesomely montanan show last night….i played for about 3 hours at Bert and Ernie’s, a reaaallly cool bar/restaurant in Great Falls. I HAD SO MUCH FUNNNN! thanks so much to everyone who came and listened!!!

OH YEAH! ….and on the way to great falls, we passed through this CRAZY windfarm…….i felt like i was in star wars.

each arm is as long as a HOUSE. yeah. crazazazazzzay.

I. AM. A. GRADUATE!!!! [yayyyyyyyyyyy!!!!]

last wednesday, i got back from a weeklong vegas trip where i opened for collective soul, a band that has been a huge musical influence of mine since i was a little girl. i had the most amazing time.

noooww….im heading off to LA on wednesday to start putting together/rehearsing with a small backup band that will probably consist of a cellist, violinist, and percussionist. we are still working out all the details of the band…but when i learn more/know more….i’ll let YOUUU all know. we’ll be playing for my record label showcases and some gigs here and there. I.AM.SO.OUT.OF.CONTROLLABLY.EXCITED.

so…..i GRADUATE INNNN EXACTLY A WEEK!!

im so happy. =)

i’ve been really busy lately with lots of shows and preparing for my next show in las vagas, OPENING FOR COLLECTIVE SOUL!…its going to be so UBER GAJILLION fun.
keep checking back for more updates!!

annnnd….very soon new music will be added. thank GOOOOODNESS since the music i have up now has been on here for about a year …. so you have to promise to keep checking in to see if the new music is posted!!

two weeks ago i went to l.a. to record another song called “These Two Hands”. i did vocals on the song and we also had a HUGE recording session at capitol studios with 30 string pieces, huge drums, a HARP, and bells of every sort. it was amazing. and david campbell is a FRICKIN genioos.

well, this past weekend we officially wrapped up all recording on my record!!!! mucho muCHO MUCHOOOOOO EXCITIING!!! also, the two string days, Jan. 23 and 25, were the two GREATEST days of my entire LIFE. i know that sounds dramatic, but i am totally serious. the strings sound so INCREDIBLLLLLE and watching people play strings to your songs is a feeling i can’t even describe. sdlkjfalsjkhdfkjhasldkjhfsbdfahsdkjfhlasjdfsdflk

the greatest day of my life.

sooooooo TODAYYY, mixing OFFICIALLY begins!!!! for about the next 10 days, there are three different mixers simultaneously working on songs on my album. The all around amaZ guy MFDC is mixing 9 of my sixteen songs. Jay Baumgardner is mixing four of the songs, which is succcch an honor. Grammy winner Ted Greenberg is mixing three of ze songs and i am uber uber ubER UBER EXCITED!!!

.2007 Recording Schedule – CD Update.

hey guys!!…
i’ve been in los angeles over the holidays finishing up some vocals on the last few songs for the record and backgrounds on all the songs.

We have 18 songs almost finished – most just need strings and a few still need bass, done by Marty O’Brien (check out his amazing clothing company, Rock Czar, NOW!)

almost all drums are tracked and sound amazing – thanks to Lance Garvin, Mark Colbert, and Jim Keltner!
Abe Laboriel Jr. is going to be recording drums on the last song that is going on the record–The Red Death Ball….MY ABSOLUTE OBSESSION AT THE MOMENT!!! i simply cannot wait to share these songs with everyone.

fish is a complete genius on acoustic, electric, and slide guitar and his tracks are sounding incredible! ben’s guitar and piano tracks are entirely geniiiiuuuuus as well.

MF Dan Certa (www.dancerta.com) is the pro tools MASTER who is engineering the day to day recordings and comps while also dealing with fish, ben, and i thinking that we are incessantly hilarious (we are, of couuurse)

March 8: Mastering of full album @ Sterling Sound , NYC

hey everyone!!

thank you so much for all your support.

i’m headed back to california on friday! i’ll be there for ten days working on my album. we’re almost to the halfway point in the recording process; we’re planning to be done in early 2007. i can’t wait to share all the new music with everyone! i’ll keep you posted!
